Starting with three employees in 1987, and a mission of ‘making markets function better’, Crisil pioneered the concept of credit ratings in India. Our values - integrity, excellence, independence and unparalleled analytical rigour - have seen Crisil’s employee strength grow consistently over the years. Today, team Crisil is 3,900+ employees strong, with the belief in our mission and values as strong as the day we began our operations. It is this sense of purpose that makes Crisilites spend a significant portion of their careers at Crisil.

Over 50% of Crisilites have been with the company for more than 5 years. From just one office in Mumbai, India, three decades ago, Crisil today has expanded its presence to not just key metros across India, but also has offices in key business destinations across the world. With its foray into Australia in 2020, Crisil is now present across 9 countries and 21 cities, namely Argentina, Australia, China, India, Japan, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States of America.

Over three decades since it pioneered credit ratings in India, Crisil not only remains the leader in this market, but has also grown into one of the most sought-after research, risk solutions and advisory services providers. What’s more, we help governments shape policies and support and advise the biggest names in the corporate world on tackling the challenges they face.

Today, we are India's largest independent and integrated research house. We also offer infrastructure advisory services to governments, multilateral agencies, investors, large public and private sector firms.

Globally, our Global Research and Risk Solutions business offers cutting-edge financial research and risk services to corporates, investors and financial institutions, while Coalition Greenwich is sought after by leading financial institutions for its insights and analytics.

Our Business Intelligence and Risk Solutions business provides solutions across a wide spectrum from risk management to governance.
