Gurpreet Chhatwal is Chief Operating Officer of Crisil Limited.
As the Chief Operating Officer, Gurpreet has oversight of the Global Research & Risk Solutions business and the Global Capability Centre. In his earlier role as Managing Director of Crisil Ratings Ltd. he steered the growth of Crisil Ratings and spearheaded innovation and raised the standards of the credit rating industry in India. Gurpreet joined Crisil in 1999 and has also set up and managed large teams in India (the Mid-Corporate Group, or MCG ratings) and globally (the Risk & Analytics practice).
Mr. Diwakar Gupta is a seasoned and highly respected banking and financial services professional with over 49 years of experience in this field.
Mr. Gupta was Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of the State Bank of India, where he was responsible for setting strategies and direction alongside other members of the State Bank’s Central Management Committee. He joined the State Bank of India in 1974 and held several positions at its various units and subsidiaries. From August 2015 to August, 2020 Mr. Gupta was Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Vice-President for Private Sector and Cofinancing Operations. In this role, Mr. Gupta had oversight over ADB's assistance to private sector projects with a clear development impact but limited access to capital. Mr. Gupta has also worked as Independent Director on the boards of various business councils, financial services companies and other private organizations in India. Mr. Gupta is also a Non-Executive Independent Director of Crisil Ratings Limited.
He is currently the non-executive Chairman of National Asset Reconstruction Company Limited (NARCL), besides being Independent Director and Advisor for few reputed Indian entities.
Mr. Gupta holds a Master of Science degree in Physics from the University of Delhi, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics (with Honors) from St. Stephen’s College in Delhi.
Thomas Yagel is the Chief Operating and Product Officer for S&P Global Sustainable1. In this role, he is responsible for setting strategy and leading key initiatives across ESG Technology, Content, Research, Solutions and Product. Prior to taking the position with Sustainable1 in 2021, Thomas led the Corporates business with in Market Intelligence for the previous six years.
Thomas has an extensive background in both finance and technology. He joined S&P Global in 2007. In addition to his time in the financial information services industry, Thomas spent the first decade of his career in software product development and consulting primarily for global telecommunication firm Alcatel, but also in a handful of startup business.
Thomas holds an M.B.A. with honors in finance and accounting from New York University Stern School of Business and a B.S. in physics from the University of Virginia.
