India's airport operators are set to clock double-digit growth in traffic this fiscal and a compound annual growth rate of 8% between fiscals 2025 and 2028, backed by strong uptick in domestic leisure and business trips, government support and increasing international travel.
Given growing demand, the capex intensity of airport operators is expected to remain elevated, leading to higher leverage compared with the pre-pandemic years.
Yet their credit outlook is expected to be mildly positive, mirroring the growth in revenue.
An increasingly mature regulatory regime, financial flexibility available through long concession tenures and attractive monetization opportunities in real estate also augur well.
In this context, Crisil Ratings is organizing a webinar titled 'Flying with the wind' on November 05, 2024, where our experts will make a presentation on:
Traffic trends and factors influencing trajectory such as aircraft availability, demand and overall economic growth linkage
Investments in airport infrastructure and allied sectors
Revenue growth expectations and drivers for individual segments
View on regulatory risks such as tariff orders and development of competing airports
Credit outlook on private airports
This will be followed by a panel discussion with industry experts, and a Q&A session.
